Jim is a Boulder native having lived here over 40 years and a graduate of the University of Colorado (Journalism ’95). His diverse career prepared him well for real estate, serving for over 25 years as a pastor and broadcaster. Jim won a tryout at age 27 and became the public address announcer (in-stadium voice) of the Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche for seven years, including the Stanley Cup run of 2001. Jim‘s resume includes a stint as the PA voice for the Stanford Cardinal men’s basketball team as well including countless voiceover work for various organizations throughout the years. He’s an accomplished writer with a best-selling book for teenagers in its genre.

Jim has been working in real estate for the last seven years and has negotiated deals from a small condo in Lafayette to a $7MM commercial building in Louisville. He is no stranger to complicated properties, navigating the rezoning of two properties the City of Louisville referred to as “the most challenging in the city.”

Jim Candy

Jim has redefined the role of Realtor. The extent of research and communication needed to close our complicated deals, combined with the fun during updates and meetings, made for a home run experience.

The Kendalls

Having someone who came through with all our expectations made us feel at ease throughout the entire transaction. We consider ourselves lucky to have Jim as our Realtor and we will recommend him to our family and friends.

The Jaquish Family

Jim Candy has been a pleasure to work with on redeveloping my lots in Superior. His knowledge on working with various government agencies, professionalism and ease with how he communicates with people have made it a very smooth process. I wouldn’t hesitate to call on his services again

Brad Bush

I enjoy working with Jim on a variety of Real Estate projects. He is always proactive in gathering information and communicating with everyone involved. I appreciate his attention to detail and willingness to work hard to solve problems.

David Sinkey, CEO of Boulder Creek Neighborhoods

The hallmark of Jim’s work with us was empathy: our search took far longer than anticipated yet he never wavered in caring that we found the right home for our family, no matter how many showings it took. When the effort felt stressful, he encouraged and supported us. And when we finally found “the one” the contracting process was efficient and thorough.

The Holmbergs

Buying a home from afar is a challenge, but we were impressed with Jim’s understanding of our budget, specific priorities, and location requirements – and he even understood the VIBE we desired. Every house we saw had potential, and we were grateful for Jim’s tenacity and guidance throughout our search.

Stephanie and Dave Cromwell

Jim couldn’t have been more helpful and organized throughout our sale. From the beginning, he supplied and explained his thorough market research and gave a timeline of how he envisioned the sale process. He assisted in preparing the house and coordinated the contractors that we would need. Everything went according to plan and we are so grateful to Jim for making this sale a huge success!

Linae Holcombe

Jim is fantastic to work with. He is a Boulder native and has so much knowledge of the real estate market in Colorado. He is easy to reach and communicate with, is willing to help at any level of buying or selling, but there is no pressure. He truly works for his clients.

Why have Boulder real estate values flattened out??? Is it because it’s losing its appeal or another reason?
